Ruth Catherine Graf, 99, Sturgeon Bay, WI died Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Ministry Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility.She was born May 5, 1914 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the daughter of the late Mathew and Viola (Lauscher) Propsom. Ruth graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School, class of 1932. In her early years she had worked for the Overbeck Insurance Agency and Sturgeon Bay Building and Loan.

On February 15, 1941 she married Marvin J. Graf at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1989. Together, they had owned and operated two restaurants in Two Rivers, the Tastee Snack Custard Stand and Mr. G's Family Restaurant.Ruth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay and longtime church choir member (over 60 years). She was a devoted member of the Christian Mothers, The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and a MDCMC Hospital Auxiliary volunteer. Ruth was an avid bridge and sheepshead player. During her years at Whispering Heights and the Skilled Nursing Facility she will be fondly remembered for her generous hugs. Survivors include: Two daughters; Pamela Hahlbeck of Sarasota, FL and her sons Max Runge, and Alex (Mari) Runge and their children Ilsa and Greta; and Ellen Graf Reiter of Milwaukee, WI and her daughter's Lauren (fiancé, Andrew Glaser), and Maggie Reiter: One son, Gregory (Kay) Graf of Green Bay and their children Ehren (Jody) Graf, and Amanda (Bob) Ross and their children Jack and Laine; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Graf Ruebel, Green Bay, WI and her children Stuart (Melody) Graf and their son Jake; and Zachary (Jana) Graf and their children Tyler, Steffen and Lilly. Ruth is also survived by one sister, Helen Schmitt of Casco, WI.She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gary John Graf (1996); two sons-in-law; Charles "Chip" Reiter; Kurt Hahlbeck; three sisters and one brother.

Entombment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
