Funeral services were held Tuesday for Rolland Ross Brown, 303 Yupon Street, El
Jardin, who died at 11:30 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Brown was born April 28, 1891 at La Verne, Illinois.

He was a state health inspector for the Food and Drug Commission of the State of Texas.

He had been a resident of El Jardin since 1952 and had lived in Houston prior to that, since 1920. Mr. Brown was a member of the Methodist Church of La Porte, a life member of the Palms Masonic Lodge. #572, A.F.and A.M. of Lehigh, Iowa, where he was the oldest living member of that lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Wilda of El Jardin, and a son, Garvey, of La Porte, Texas.

Services will be in the Methodist Church of La Porte at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Frank
Boutwell officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Park East, with graveside services under the direction of the Masonic Lodge.

The James Crowder funeral home of La Marque is in charge of arrangements.
