PHANEUF, Eugene WWII
Eugene was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan in 1911. He joined
the Army and served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Eugene was
killed in action in Holland on October 12, 1944 and is buried at
Adegem Canadian War Cemetery in Belgium. Phaneuf Lake in
Northern Saskatchewan was named after him.
