Elmer Conklin, Walden, Dies at 70
WALDEN-Elmer Conklin, 70, a lifelong Walden resident, died on Sunday (May 25, 1941) in his home, 52 Ulster Avenue, after a short illness. Born on Feb 19, 1871, a son of the late Samuel and Elsie Decker Conlin, he was employed as a cutter in the knife-works. Mr. Conklin was a member of Freeman Lodge 170, IOOF.
Survivors are his widow, Delia Terwilliger Conklin, a son, Howard Conklin of Walden; a daughter Mrs. Samuel Dunworth of Ilion; two brothers, Charles and Fred Conklin of Walden, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the home will be conducted by the Rev. Howard McGrath of the Methodist Church. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, East Walden, by G. S. Millspaugh.
