She was united in marriage to Asa Enfield Hoge on Sept. 18,1879, and to this union six children were born; two dying in infancy. Her husband and four children survive. Mrs. Lois Berry of Bethesda, A. W. Hoge of Chicago, Ill., Milton of Detroit, Mi. and Mrs. Blanche Tilton of Martins Ferry, Ohio. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Josie O'Hair of Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Alice Pittman of Bethesda and on half-brother, Frank Bollinger, Short Creek, WV and six grand children
She was a member of the Christian Church and when her health permitted was a faithful attendant at the church services. Practically all her life was spent in Bethesda, where by her noble Christian life, she made a host of friends.
She was devoted to her family and was a true homemaker, a loving wife and devoted mother. She was generous to a fault...no one appealing to her in vain. She gave of her love and help to the needy and those in distress. She was alwys cheerful and unselfish.

She exalted the Christ in her daily life and erected her own monument in the hearts of her friends.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea saith the spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them"
The funeral services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Berry. Pastor George Darsie of Mt. Sterling, Ky, and Pastor Ross Kildow of Stanwood, Ia. Both nephews of the deceased were in charge of the services. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.
