Forest City, N.C. - Willard Narce Bailey, 83, of Phillips Drive, Forest City, died on Sunday, February 02, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County.

A native of Cleveland County, he was born on March 08, 1930, a son of the late Void and Eva Dobbins Bailey.

He was retired from Snyder Mills and W.N.C. Wholesale Florist. Mr. Bailey was also a U.S. Army Veteran having served in The Korean War. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Forest City and the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460. He was… an avid hunter, fisherman and loved music.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three bothers, Theo Bailey, Marchel Bailey and Gene Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Gaynell Owens Bailey; two daughters, Teresa Collins and husband Gary of Rutherfordton and Debbie Brewer and husband Rev. Rick Brewer of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Eloise Bailey Kanipe of Cliffside and Jerene Bailey Landreth and husband Horton of Cliffside; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Mr. Bailey's Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 06, 2014 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Forest City with the Rev. Bob Philbeck and Rev. Kyle Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard and Masonic Rites accorded by the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 05, 2014 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
