Slusher of Riner died
Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995 in the
Radford Community Hospital.
She was a member of
Sidney United Methodist
Church, Riner. She was preceded
in death by her first
husband, Clifton Linkous;
and her second husband,
Velmar L. Slusher.
Surviving are three daughters,
Yvonne L. Greer of
Riner, Nancy L. Endicott of
Christiansburg and Betty L.
Banes of Richmond; two sons,
Franklin A. Linkous of
Chester and V. Lee Slusher
Jr. of Concord, N.C.; five
stepdaughters, Lucille Burns
of Florence, S.C., Doris Kitts,
Ernestine Spencer and
Frances Keith, all of Christiansburg,
and Pauline Caldwell
of Radford; three stepsons,
Kenneth Slusher and
Carl Slusher, both of Riner,
and James Slusher of Floyd;
27 grandchildren, 29 greatgrandchildren
and one greatgreat-
grandchild.
The funeral will be-11 a.m.
Friday at Seaver-Sanders &
Mullins Funeral Home, Radford,
with the Rev. Walt Simmerman
officiating.
Burial will be in West View
Cemetery, Radford.
In lieu of flowers the family
suggests memorials be made
to the American Cancer Society
