Obituary from the Montgomery Advertiser – June 30, 1999

COOK, Harvey O., 87, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died Monday, June 28, 1999, at his residence. Funeral services will be held from White Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, July 2, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Mickey Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow at 11:45 a.m. from the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Mazza, Navarre, FL and Mrs. Evans (Bettie) Hinson, Fairfield Glade, TN; four sisters, Mrs. Sue Shannon, Powder Springs, GA, Mrs. Sara Wagner, Mrs. Dorothy Stanford and Mrs. Dezma Baird, all of Montgomery, AL; three grandchildren, Angela Smitherman, Anna Maria Garceau and Michael Mazza; four great-grandchildren, Adam Smitherman, Michele and Rickey Garceau and Katrina Mazza. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Dawkins Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Bush, Toxie Carlisle, Barry Stanford, Evans Hinson, Jr. and Richard Smitherman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. Allene Dobalavege, 669 Bethlehem Rd. Lapine, AL 36046. Visitation will be made from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
