Richard E. Smith, 57, of Clearfield, PA died Thursday, November 10, 2005 at his home.
Born June 28, 1948 in Lock Haven, PA he was the son of the late Richard E. Smith, Sr. and Mary Jane (Royer) Clark. of Olanta, PA.
He was affiliated with the protestant faith and was a member of the Clearfield Michael Sicks Post #1785 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #812 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #97.
He is survived by his step father Ralph L. Clark, Sr. of Olanta, three sisters and two brothers Sandra Smith and her companion Dan Askey of LeContes Mills, PA, James Smith and his wife Marlene of Killeen, TX, Rebecca Johnson and her husband Fred of Clearfield, Ralph Clark, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Sanborn, PA and Kimberly Kelly and her fiancee Doug Robbins of Clearfield. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother Gregory Smith.
There will be no public visitation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Mike Hill officiating.
Interment will be at Mount Zion Cemetery, Olanta.
