Sandra Gray Davis, 65, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Homer "Whitey" Davis. Born July 21, 1948, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Bessie Mayberry Gray of Lynchburg and the late Beverly Estes Gray. She was retired from J. Crew and was a member of Sandusky Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Scott M. Tyree and wife, Jennifer, and their children, Amber and Amy, of Bedford and Tim W. Tyree (Tracy Parker) and their son, Timmy, of Lynchburg; one brother, Jimmy R. Gray and wife, Lucy, of Lynchburg and their children, Bru Norconk and wife, Heather, Michael Purvis and his daughter, Zoee Purvis, Aimee Purvis, Brooke Tymchyn and husband, Chris, and their son, Jackson; cousins, Linda Saferight, Donna Taylor, and Mike Mayberry and many special friends and loved ones. A private service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Fort Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter.
