Rev. Ernest A. Denius, son of Adam and Margaret Ann (Schaub) Denius, was born in Ohio. He is listed with his parents in the census records and is unmarried. In the publication of the United Brethren of Christ Churches, the Religious Telescope, Vol. 74, p. 14, Mar. 18, 1908, he is mentioned as a minister: "At Barnhill forty-seven have sought Christ, thirty-eight have been converted and reclaimed, and twenty-two united in church fellowship. Ernest A. Denius is pastor of the revived church." Barnhill, Ohio is in Tuscarawas County, not far from his home. Rev. Denius died in Salesville, Guernsey County, Ohio of pulmonary tuberculosis.
