She left Germany with her husband and son in 1955. She worked for Holy Cross Hospital until she retired in 1986.
She is survived by her husband, Hans Ahrens, and son, Joachim.
A graveside service will be held in her honor at 2:00 p.m. on Friday February 7, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek.
