Visitation will be Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue Sylacauga, AL from 12:00 Noon till 3:00pm, with services at 3:00pm. Burial will follow in the New Site Baptist Church Cemetery near Weogufka, Coosa County, AL
He was preceded in death by his Grand-Father, Joseph D. Waites; Great-Grandparents, Amos Doyle & Nellie H..Cordell Waites, Willie Garrison & Doris Louise Gallups Varner, Robin E. & Vonda Lee Joyce Jackson Bearden.
He is survived by his Parents, Louis Edward Gallups and Kimberly Michelle Evans; Step-Father, Grady L. Evans; Brother, Jeremy Austin Gallups; Sister, Courtney Michelle Gallups; Nephew, Rylan Anderson; Uncle, James Keith (Casey) Waites; Grand-Parents, Robin Kenny & Jeanne Bearden; and a host of cousins.
He was a youth leader at Trinity UMC, played football for Benjamin Russell High School, Alexander City, AL, (the year they won the 5A state championship) and football for Huntingdon college, and was an Eagle Scout. Served four years in the U.S. Army as a paralegal and won Biggest Loser while stationed in Iraq. He was currently attending Bevill State going after his engineering degree and had been on the Presidents List. He also planned to go for his law degree.
