CRESWELL - Charles D. Cutting of Creswell died Nov. 9 of cancer. He was 74.

Cutting was born March 5, 1931, in Amarillo, Texas, to A.K. and Leda Combs Cutting. He lived in Los Angeles, Cottage Grove, Portland and Eugene before moving to Creswell in 1970.

Cutting was in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed as a mechanic. He enjoyed motorcycles and the "M*A*S*H" television series.

He was a member of Springfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3965 and the Cottage Grove American Legion No. 32.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert of Arizona and Donald of Spokane; and a sister, Mavis Boswell of Lebanon.

No service is planned. Private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

England's Creswell Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
