Daughter of Finley and ? Simcox Hogue, she married Jacob E. Crouser, lived at Utica, PA, died there of general arteriosclerosis, per death certificate 22282, whose informant was her husband. Buried Mar 2 1937.

Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on May 31 1894 at Polk, Venango County, Edward Gilliland of Polk, farmer, 28, son of A. C. and Elanor Gilliland, married Hattie Hogue of Polk, house worker, 22, daughter of Finley and Isabel Hogue; first marriage for both.

Franklin News-Herald, Monday, Mar 1 1937:
Mrs. Hattie Hogue Crouser of 626 Buffalo Street died at 10:30 om Saturday in White Invalids' Home in Utica, where she had bee three weeks. She was born Sept. 12, 1871 at Sandy Lake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Finley Hogue.

She had been in failing health for 3 years, and her condition became serious last May. She lived in Franklin and area for 35 years.

She first married Edward Gilliland, who died in 1919, then in 1921 married Jacob E. Crouser, who survives, with a daughter, Mrs. Edward A. Raymond of Franklin; a brother, Frank Hogue of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Byrd Connell of Slippery Rock, and Mrs. Mary Whetzel of Cooperstown; and a granddaughter, Dorothy M. Raymond of Franklin.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday in H. L. Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev. F. A. Handley of Seventh Street Church of God officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery at Polk.
