Harley Funeral Home remembers Louie Leroy Maroney in Greenwood, SC. Louie Leroy Maroney, 76, of 581 Newberry Highway, died Saturday, February 08, 2014 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda, he was a son of the late Harvey Jackson Maroney and Veo Victoria Enlow Maroney. Leroy worked for Graniteville Company for many years but his heart was always in the pulpwood industry. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars and was of the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Fields; a son-in-law, Richard Fields; a granddaughter, Chandra Fields; two great grandsons, Tariq and Asa Robinson; two sisters; and six brothers.
Surviving are a son, Tracy Maroney of Greenwood; two sisters, Jean Senn (Wayne) of Newberry and Veonia Cade (John) of Leesville; two brothers, Ken Maroney (Ann) of Leesville and Rick Maroney (Shirley) of Saluda; two grandchildren, Chaz Fields and Jade Spencer, both of Greenwood; and seven great grandchildren.
The family is at their respective homes.
