ADA MARIE BUTLER EDELEN BURNS, 57, of Hagerstown, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at her home. Born Feb. 5, 1949, in Aquasco, Md., she was the daughter of the late Norman Dent and Eleanor Lyons Butler.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Alfred Edelen, in 1980, and her second husband, Drexell Keith "Jazz" Burns, in 2003.

She was a homemaker. She was a past member of St. Phillip's Episcopal Church in Aquasco.

She is survived by three daughters, Tina L. Edelen of Waldorf, Md., and Jobina R. Butler and Denise L. Butler, both of Hagerstown; five sons, Anthony M. Edelen of Washington, D.C., and Nathaniel G. Edelen, Zachary T. Butler, Chris A. Butler and Gary L. Butler, all of Hagerstown; two sisters, Anna L. Gross of Port Republic, Md., and Gladys Butler of Hagerstown; three brothers, Francis Butler of Hughesville, Md., Harry L. Butler of Aquasco, and Thomas Butler of Waldorf; and 19 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.

Services were held at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
