Death in Two Rivers on Sun. of Gottfried Wilhelm Berger following an illness of about 6 mos.
The deceased, who was one of the oldest residents of Two Rivers, was well known and highly thought of throughout the whole county.
He was born 21 Jan. 1821 in Saxony and came to America in 1846, living 2 yrs. in Milwaukee. In 1848 he moved to Two Rivers where he has lived ever since. In the early years he was in the shoemakers trade, but about 30 yrs. ago he opened a tavern.
The burial took place Tues. afternoon.
