Sadie H. Adgent, age 93 of Chapel Hill, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, at Signature Healthcare in Columbia. A native of Chapel Hill, Mrs. Adgent was the daughter of the late Jacob Edward Harber and Leila L. Hopper Harber. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Smyrna Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Joe Adgent; four brothers, William, Emmett, James, and Allen Harber; three sisters, Margaret Ezell, Kate Harber, and Ruth Grissom.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Adgent of Ossining, New York and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adgent will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 11 AM from the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Chapel Hill. Visitation with family will be Monday, February 10, 2014, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smyrna Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, Marshall County Historical Society, or Garden of Hope, C/O of MTSU Development Office in Murfreesboro.
