Funeral rites will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Otto E. Dorsch officiating. Burial will be in the Fair Haven cemetery.
Mr. Clendenning was born in Madison township, Nov. 23, 1883, a son of John Andrew and Mary E. Fickle Clendenning. He married Melinda M. Steckel on Oct. 3, 1906. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and was a farmer until his retirement in 1939, when he and his wife moved to Mulberry.
Surviving are the widow; a son, John J. Clendenning of Frankfort route 6; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Rountree of West Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Jacobs of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Alva E. Clendenning of Frankfort route 6, and five grandchildren.
