Shirley Deloris Canter Shirley Deloris Canter, 68, of Breakiron Hill Road, Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Shirley was born Aug. 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Hilling and Anna Belle McDonald Canter, in Morgantown, W.Va. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother and was a longtime member of Beulah Free Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Ginger Canter and companion Keith Jenkins of Maidsville, Betty and David Turner of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Marcus Alan Wilson, Travis Kenna Wilson, Nicholas Alexander Turner, Ashley Shannon Turner and Andrew Quintin Richard Turner. In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lawrence Canter; seven brothers, Paul, Stanley, Roy, Page, Vernon, Andy and Kenneth Hilling; four sisters, Mary Bacorn, Hazel Hilling, Gladys Nicholson and Violet Murray.

Family and friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown, Thursday, April 14, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., and Friday, April 15, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Dickens officiating. Burial will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley's name to, Beulah Free Methodist Church, 688 Beulah Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
