Harold Paige Hilling

Harold Paige Hilling, 81, of Route 5, Morgantown, died Thursday, December 21, 1995, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 28, 1914, in Morgantown, son of the late Jehu and Mary Elizabeth (Murray) Hilling.
He was a block mason and carpenter and constructed many homes in the Bradenton-Sarasota (Fla.) area, as well as the Morgantown area, where he constructed the two entrance pillars at the old Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. He also worked at the Rock Forge Coke ovens. He was Free Methodist.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary (Zackery) Hilling: a daughter Hazel Elizabeth Austin of Morgantown: two sons, Lonnie Francis Hilling Sr and Herman Franklin Hilling, both of Morgantown; a brother Charlie Hilling of Summer School Road; 8 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Powell and Addie Bell McDonald; 5 brothers James Hilling, John Hilling, George Hilling, Harry Hilling and Frank Hilling.
Friends may call at Nicholson Chapel Church on Summer School Road from 3pm Saturday to 1pm Sunday December 24, time of service, with the Rev. David Hilling officiating. Burial will follow in the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
