Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 19 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Coloma Cemetery. Donations in memory of Juanita may be made to the Family.
Juanita was born on August 20, 1927 in Marcella, Arkansas to Arthur and Clara (Shepherd) Meeker. She married Allen C. Kniebes of Benton Harbor on September 3, 1946. In addition to raising five children, they became farmers. As the children grew, they fell in love with sailing on Lake Michigan. After they retired, they took many sailing trips through the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and the Inter-Coastal Waterway.
Juanita was very helpful in the community. She became the first female to join the Coloma School's Board of Education in 1958 and continued to serve for ten years. She also was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.
Even after retirement from farming, she adored her garden and was named, "Gramma Garden" by some of her great grandchildren. She loved to grow beautiful flowers all summer long.
Juanita's greatest passion in her life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She dedicated herself to loving them unconditionally. She always had a smile on her face, a gleam in her eye, and a kind word for all of them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Kniebes, and two sons, Roger L. Kniebes and Richard L. Kniebes.

Son, Randall (Christine) Kniebes of Coloma, MI, Grandchildren: Ami (Tim) Steenstra and their daughter Alexis. Brian (Allison) and their three daughters, Chloe, Kiera, and Nova. Dana (Dustin) Hess and their three sons; Ben, Cody and Masyn. Kelly Kniebes.
Daughter, Connie (Tom) Frazier of Oscoda MI, Grandchildren: Thomas Frazier and his children, Nicole and Thomas. James (Martha) Frazier. Eric (Ashely) Frazier and their children, Kaden, Chelsea and Brynlee.
Son, Robin (Chana) Kniebes of Coloma, MI, Grandchildren: Rachel (Andrew) Edwards and their son Cohen. Lauren Kniebes and Isabelle Kniebes.
Daughter, Kathleen (Gary) Kniebes -Wilmot of Coloma, MI, Grandchildren: Melanie (Jason) Owen-Hayes, their son Jason. Valerie Owen and Kelsey Owen.
