Ruth Eleanor (Brading) Culp, age 95, of Charleston, Illinois and formerly of Oakland, Illinois went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Charleston Rehab Center.

She was born on October 3, 1918 in Oakland to Roy and Effie (Smart) Brading. She married Homer Eli Culp on March 27, 1936 in Paris, Illinois.

Ruth was a farmer's wife and a homemaker. She rode her horse to school and graduated in 1936. She was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, the Oakland Senior Center and the Nifty Fifty Club. She loved to read, play cards, camping, boating, fishing and cooking.

Ruth is survived by two children: Betty (Robert) Trueblood of Effingham, IL, Bill (Karla) Culp of New Braunfels, TX; one daughter in law, Sabra Culp of Mattoon, IL; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Roy Culp, three sisters and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland.
