Carrie had two older brothers, Spencer and Melvin. Her brothers married Conklin sisters who were cousins of Carrie's second husband, James Williams.
Carrie's first husband was Leander Randell. They were married in Kansas and had four children. She divorced Leander in 1890 due to mistreatment.
She then married James Williams who was originally from NY state and a Civil War veteran. They married in Winfield, Kansas in 1892 and relocated to Stroud, Oklahoma and had two daughters: Frances and Dulcie.
James died in December 1899 and sometime shortly thereafter Carrie and her children moved to Michigan, where they were living briefly with James' sister and husband, Ellen (Bill) Gallea in Allegan County. She then moved further north to Grand Traverse County where her brother, Spencer Taylor was living. This area was familiar to them as they had lived there as children.
While in Michigan she married Archibold McIntyre in Cadillac. Archibold and Carrie divorced, and she remarried for the fourth and last time to a man by the name of George Dean in 1925. Around 1920, Carrie made a trip from Traverse City to Alberta, Canada to visit brother, Melvin and family.
Carrie was an accomplished milliner and seamstress.
Caroline died at the home of her son, Jesse Randel in Gainnes, Michigan in May of 1926. She is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City, Michigan as "Carrie Dean."
