Juanita Mae Mulford, 90, of Canadian, passed away on April 11, 2016 at the Eastar Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Juanita was born on January 17, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Rudolph and Ida Lauretta (Cleary) Sackman. She graduated from Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California. On January 17, 1947, Juanita married Robert Irl Mulford, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2001. They were happily married for over fifty-eight years. When her children were young, she enjoyed making wedding cakes and wedding dresses for close friends and family. Juanita worked as a bookkeeper for the Santa Monica Gas Company. She was a member of the Canadian United Methodist Church. Juanita loved working with the children at the Elementary School and church. She also loved to work in her garden. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Irl Mulford; and one son, Irl Lee Mulford. Funeral service will be held April 16, 2016 at the Canadian Methodist Church in Canadian, OK. Burial will be at Crowder Cemetery in Crowder, OK.
