Funeral services for Herbert M. LeJeune will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the Lighthouse Church of Oakdale with Reverend Jerry Odom and Reverend Derek Gobert officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army. Committal service will follow in the Duplechain Cemetery of Oberlin under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Herbert, 75, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2014. He was born on July 17, 1938 in Oberlin to the union of Mitchell and Mable Duplechain LeJeune. He was a member of The Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of Oakdale. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Penny LeJeune Fuller.
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, his loving wife of fifty-two years, Dale LeJeune of Oakdale; two sons, Kenny LeJeune, wife Missy of Mt. Ida, Arkansas and Todd LeJeune, wife Jerriath of Oakdale; one daughter, Teche LeJeune of Oakdale; one brother, Russell J. LeJeune of Vinton; four sisters, Shirley Anding of Pitkin, Ruth Schmidt of Iowa, Juanita Watkin of Oberlin, and Linda Nolen of Pitkin; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of family, and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Levi LeJeune, Coby LeJeune, Travis Duncan, Aaron Rogers, Greg LeJeune, and Josh LeJeune.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the church and then Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 8 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10 a.m.
