Lloyd D. "Red" Houtz, 95, of Tower City, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Center.
Born in Tower City, Dec. 4, 1918, he was a son of the late Jacob and Jennie Poffenberger Houtz.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corp.
Lloyd retired from the former Olmstead Air Force Base, Middletown.
He was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, a charter member of Porter Tower Lions Club and a life member of Tower City Loyal Order of Moose and Tower City American Legion.
Lloyd enjoyed gardening, reading and going for his daily walks.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
