Professional Hockey Player. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Marotte played the position of Defenseman for teams in the NHL, OHA, CHL, WHA, OHA-Jr., M-Cup, and the QJHL, hockey leagues. At 5'09, and 195lbs, Marotte played for the Victoriaville Bruins from 1961 to 1963, Niagara Falls Flyers from 1963 to 1966, Boston Bruins from 1965 to 1967, Chicago Blackhawks from 1967 to 1970, Los Angeles Kings from 1969 to 1974, New York Rangers from 1973 to 1976, St. Louis Blues from 1976 to 1977, Kansas City Blues from 1976 to 1977, Cincinnati Stingers from 1977 to 1978, and the Indianapolis Racers from 1977 to 1978. Marotte passed away from pancreatic cancer on July 26, 2005, in Victoriaville, Quebec, at the age of 60.
