She was stricken several days ago with brain fever, which rapidly increased, causing a blood vessel to burst, forming a clot of blood on the brain, from which she never rallied.
Ruth Minnie Meeks was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meeks of this place. She was born May 26, 1894. She moved to this place with her parents from Hornell about three years ago, and although she had been in our midst only such a short time she has many friends who will deeply mourn her loss.
The funeral was held at the house Friday at 11 o'clock, Rev. Criss of Howard officiating. Internment in the Brasted District cemetery.
