      Funeral services for Mrs. Alta E. Strong, 64, Brainerd, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Halvorson mortuary here. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
      Mrs. Strong died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday. She was born in Keota, Iowa, September 16, 1873, and came to Brainerd from that city about 25 years ago. She has resided here since that time and is widely known in many sections of the city. She was married 49 years ago.
      Surviving are her husband of Brainerd, three daughters, Mrs. T. Knutson, Mrs. E. A. Palmer and Mrs. Frank Wickham, all of Brainerd; and three sons, Curtis and Orvan of Brainerd, and Harley of Centralia, Washington. Three sisters, Mrs. Ada Covey, Webster, Ia., Mrs. Peter Rowland, Keswig [sic], Ia. and Mrs. Ernie Kobler, Webster, Iowa; one brother, Wilbur Harrington of Colorado; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, also survive.
