Cremated in Kankakee, IL. through Schreffler Funeral Homes. Ashes scattered in Indiana. Full name is Leslie Joseph WAYNE Morrison, but always went by the name of Wayne. First wife-Juanita Benjamin, second wife Amelia Fuscia, third wife Roxanne Kline. One son by Benjamin--Jeffrey Wayne Morrison, living near Monticello, IN. After high school, Wayne worked with an uncle, Sherman Dusharme, in the home building trades in and around Kankakee, IL. After being drafted into the US Army, he received his basic training at Fort Bliss, Texas and was sent overseas to Germany in a machine gun squad. He was quickly promoted and became a "driver" for a commanding officer. In this position, he toured many countries acting as a "driver." Tool & Die Maker by trade. Also drove his own 16 wheeler for many years. Owned and operated a business selling hair spray products to beauty salons. Taught school at Bloom Township High School. Owned and operated a restaurant in Monticello, IN. called "The Pitts." Retired to his own private "farm" in Monticello, where he became a master gardener and raised assorted animals. Was an accomplished woodworker. Lived his life as he saw fit - independently and without regrets. Passed into his new life at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, IN., four days prior to his 70th birthday. He is survived by three brothers, Don of Monee, IL., Jean of Leesburg Florida, and Kim ofRoselawn, IN. He is also survived by his son Jeffrey Wayne Morrison of Monticello, IN., and his wife, Roxanne of Logansport, IN. (Written by his youngest brother, Don.)
