Urbano S. Vallejo of New Braunfels died at McKenna Memorial Hospital Friday Oct. 29, 1993 at 1:24 pm at the age of 92.

He was born Dec. 5, 1900 in Monterrey, Mexico to Urbano and Maria de los Angeles Saenz Vallejo. His wife Loreto Cantu preceded him in death in 1969. He was a New Braunfels resident since 1908. Vallejo was a retired laborer for U.S. Gypsum and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 1, 1993 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Robert O'Hara officiating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home. Visitation continues until 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home at which time the body will leave for the church.

Pallbearers will be Mario Moreno, Ray Vallejo, Joe Castilleja, Jr., Luis Vallejo, Thomas Vallejo, and Victor Vargas.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Elisa and Gonzalo Moreno, Francisca and Joe Castilleja, Irma Vallejo, all of New Braunfels, and Enriqueta and Kenneth Knetsch of Portland, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law Eliseo and Gloria Vallejo of Richmond, Raul and Gretchen Vallejo of Texas City; brother Roberto Vallejo of New Braunfels; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren Eliseo Vallejo Jr. and Andy Vallejo.
