Edna F. DeBethune, 82, Elwood, died Saturday at Autumnwood Extended Care in Tipton Born Sept. 12, 1915 in Tipton, she was the daughter of Eli M. and Angeline Sumner Horton. She married Louis DeBethune March 1, 1940. He survives. She was a member of the Curtisville Christian Church. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nancy Gagle of Noblesville and LouAnne Rodgers of Indianapolis; a son, Robert DeBethune of Elwood; three sisters, Hazel Preston, Catherine Horton and Jeanette Pierce, all of Indianapolis; two brothers. Garland Horton and Guy Horton, both of Tipton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Horton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Copher & Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny Pearson officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
