Son of Taylor and Ella Hindman Luton, (on Jul 3 1925) he married Grace B. Clinefelter, was a retired machinist, lived at 433 Liberty St, Franklin, died in the VA Hospital, Erie, of obstructive emphysema , of lung, chronic bronchitis, and arteriosclerotic heart disease, per death certificate 111447, whose informant was hospital records. Buried Dec 17 1957.

Per New York Marriage Records, on Jul 3 1925 in Mayville, NY, Roy A. Luton of 302 Puffin St, Franklin, inspector at the water works, 38, born in Franklin, son of Taylor and Ella Hindman Luton, married Grace B. Clinefelter of Cochranton, 19, born in Polk, daughter of John and Mae Carey Clinefelter; first marriage for both.

Roy A. Luton, 70, of 433 Liberty Street, died in Erie Veterans Administration Hospital at 7:50 am Saturday after a lingering illness. He was born May 21, 1887, in Franklin, son of Taylor and Ella Hineman Luton.

He worked many years as a city employee, later worked as a machinist at Joy Manufacturing Co. He had been unable to work the past 6 years due to ill health. He enlisted in the U. S, Army Sept. 4, 1917, and served overseas in France during World War I with the wagon train, 3-5th Engineers, 80th Division, and was discharged July 11, 1919 at Camp Dix, NJ.

On July 3, 1925 in Mayfield, NY, he married Grace Clinefelter, who survives, with a daughter, Carole, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Ada Cubitt of Franklin.

Services will be at Burger Funeral Home with Rev. Berg of 7th Street Church of God officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery at Polk.
