Ramona D. Lesley, 77, of Las Vegas, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 10, 2014. She was born Dec. 4, 1936, in Stayton, Ore., and lived in Las Vegas for the last 45 years. Ramona volunteered as a docent at Spring Mountain Ranch and the Springs Preserve, and was an active with the Nevada Society of Professional Engineers and the Cactus Society of Southern Nevada. She was an avid hiker and snowshoer, and spent countless days exploring the canyons and mountains of southern Nevada. She cared deeply for her family and friends. Her love of life and adventurous spirit is an inspiration to all. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Darby; son, Jim; grandson, Alexander; and long-time friend, Tim Farmer. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Mormon Chapel, 8525 Thom Blvd.
