BARDILL, MR. ALBERT DAVID - age 84, born May 5, 1922 at Wartburg, Tn.,died Jan. 1, 2007, at the Etowah Health Care Center. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wartburg, and attended Redeemer's Lutheran Church at Kingston, Tn. He was a veteran of WW II, and former prisoner of war, being captured in Italy and having received a Purple Heart. After being honorably discharged form the Air Force, he was employed by the U. S. Postal Service at Knoxville, Tn. for thirty one years as a letter carrier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Mary Heidel Bardill, first wife, Willie Kate Bardill, sister,Catherine Milligan, brothers; Herbert Bardill, Knoxville, Robert Bardill, Cincinnati, Oh. and Gus Bardill, Burnside, Ky.

Surviving wife,Edna Stone Bardill,of Kingston; daughter and son-in-law; Cathy and Randy Satterfield; step-daughter; Rita and husband Bill Dodds;grandchildren; Eric Washburn, Steven Satterfield; step-grandchildren;Charlotte Rifkinds, Jessica Dodds; step-great grand child; Savannah Selby.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, Jan. 3, 2007,from 6 to 8 P. M., at Schubert Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m., Rev. Robert Pfaff and Rev. Michael Miller officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be Friday 11 A.M. Morgan Memorial Gardens, Wartburg, Tenn. The family request that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 222 N. Church St.,Warburg, Tn. 37887 or Redeemer's Lutheran Church, 1658 Roane St.,Harriman, Tn. 37748.
