AUSTIN -- The funeral for Ivar "Bill" Bartell will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. Joe Matt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in rural Austin.
Mr. Bartell, 71, of 809 6th Ave. S.E., died Thursday (Dec. 12, 1996) at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
He was born July 4, 1925, in Waterloo, Iowa. On Jan. 24, 1951, he married Lucille Kaster in Des Moines, Iowa. She survives. A veteran of World War II, he worked as a dry cleaner in the Austin area for 10 years.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Nelson of Austin; three daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. Kenneth) Mason of Hasting, Minn., Sharon (Mrs. Richard) Nelson of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Marlene Weeks of St. Cloud, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth of Minnesota; and a sister, Barbara Bartell of Dayton, Ohio.
Friends may call an hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. There will be no reviewal.
