Irene Gieselman, 91, widow of Elmer, of Seward, formerly Bloomfield, passed away Feb. 13, 2014. Born March 11, 1922 in Bloomfield to Hans and Ida (Hansen) Mumm. Graduate of Bloomfield High School. United in marriage to Elmer Levern Gieselman March 15, 1946. Former member of First Trinity Lutheran, Bloomfield; member of St. John Lutheran Church and LWL/Ladies Aid, Seward; St. John Quilters Group-Comforters and VFW Auxiliary

Survivors: children and spouses, Janet Skoog, Phoenix; Jean and David Jones, Seward; Terry and Susan Gieselman, Lincoln. Seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, George and Pauline Mumm, West Bend, Wis.; brother-in-law, Vernon Gieselman, St. Louis; sisters-in-law Laura Gieselman and Rachel Carlow both Bloomfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 1-8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, 2/14, at Zabka Funeral Home, Seward. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, 2/15, at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, with Pastor Scott Bruick officiating. The casket will be open at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield from 2-3 p.m. Burial will follow at the Bloomfield City Cemetery, with Pastor Andrew Ratcliffe officiating.
