Billy Norman Anderson, 71, of Hot Springs AR, formerly of Malvern AR, died Aug. 15, 2002, in a local hospital. Born June 23, 1931, at Prattsville AR to William Jacob and Ruby Mae Foster Anderson, he was a retired Murphy's Service Center attendant, U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church.

He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Ollie Mae Hohrine Anderson; and brothers, Chuck Anderson-Young, Robert Anderson, J.D. Anderson, and Orla Gene Anderson.

Family members include his daughter and son-in-law Diane and Larry Frazier of Malvern; brothers Freddy Anderson and Lloyd Anderson, both of Malvern; sisters Carolyn Helms and Patricia Galloway, both of Malvern, Mary Harding of Benton AR, Martha Stiles of Germantown WI, and Kathy Himes of Dallas TX; and granddaughter Lori Frazier.

The service will be at 2 in Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville with Rev. Carroll Brown officiating. Full military honors will be provided the by Military Full Honors Team of Fort Sill OK and Thaddeus H. Caraway VFW Post 2278 Honor Guard. Pallbearers were the VFW Post p.m. Saturday 2278 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Arrangements are by Atkinson Funeral Home, Malvern OK.
