In 1937 Leah married W. Ned Hansen and remained with him for the rest of her life.
Leah died of cancer at age forty-one.

"BEEBEETOWN - Mrs. Leah Alda Hansen, 41, died Sunday at her home north of here.
"A graduate of Missouri Valley High School, she taught for three years in Harrison County rural schools.
"Besides her husband, W. N. Hansen, she is survived by two brothers, Ross and Ivan Coulthard of California, la.; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Welch of Logan, Mrs. Nita Rockrohr of Colfax, Wis. and Mrs. Rita Utman of California, la.
"Services will be held at the farm home at 1 p. m. Wednesday, at the First Presbyterian Church, Missouri Valley, at 2 p. m. The Rev. Ralph Gilbert of Fremont, Neb. and the Rev. S. H. Roser officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery near the Hansen farm. Bolton-Cranston Funeral Home of Logan is in charge."
