Funeral services over the body of Mrs. Albert Ellsworth, who passed away at the home of the family at 922 Second street, will be conducted at the home of 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. W.J. Dattson, rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal church and Rev. P.B. Ferris, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate at the service. Interment will be at Lakeview cemetery.
The announcement of the death of Mrs. Ellsworth, who was widely known about the city, came as a shock to a host of people in Escanaba and it is expected that the funeral of today will be attended by a great number of sorrowing friends and relatives.
Mrs. Ellsworth was born at DeKalk Ill., Aug. 11, 1866 and came to Escanaba with her parents when a child. She was united in marriage in this city to Mr. Ellsworth Nov. 21, 1889. To them was born one son, Charles Ellsworth, now a student at the University of Wisconsin and who arrived in the city on Monday morning in response to a telegram announcing the serious illness of his mother.
Mrs. Ellsworth was one of the officers and a prominent member of R.C. Hathaway chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was also member of the Escanaba lodge of Pythian Sisters and the Lewis Cass chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She was one of the member of the local board for the Michigan Childrens Home at St. Joseph Mich., and one of her last acts was to send a large box of clothing to the institution after several weeks of patient work.
