She was a strong Christian woman, dedicated to her family. She loved to work in her garden, especially caring for her roses. Virginia loved to cook and liked to feed everyone.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Tom Asbury and by her son, Donnie Mundy.
Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Asbury Cundiff of Cross Lanes and Connie Asbury Holmes and her husband, Brent of Odenton, Maryland; sister, Billie Waugh of Cross Lanes; brother, Edward Brannon of Gambrills, Maryland. Also surviving are grandchildren, Angela Hammons, Candace Kraus, Chuck Boling Mundy, Allison Humphries, Kristina Flores, Tina Kirk, Tammi Mundy, Aaron Holmes and Chance Holmes; sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in the Asbury Family Cemetery, Sissonville.
