Elmer E. Kilgore, Near Collinsville, Succumbs
Collinsville—Elmer Evan Kilgore, husband of Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Beckstedt Kilgore, died at 6:10 p. m. Saturday at his home, High Rock RD 2, near his place. He was 76.
A life-long farmer, Mr. Kilgore was in ill health for five years and bedfast for two years. He was a son of the late George L. and Annie Fisher Kilgore. For the past 25 years, he belonged to Pine Grove Presbyterian church, Sunnyburn.
Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Mrs. Jesse Barnett, Stewartstown; Mrs. Edward Resling and Mrs. Harry McKinley, both of Red Lion, and Mrs. Henry Shenberger, Whiteford, Md.; a son, Harvey Dale Kilgore, at home; 15 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four brothers, Harvey L. Kilgore, Felton; Thomas E. Kilgore, Woodbine; John H. Kilgore, Atglen, Chester county, and Harry Kilgore, Woodbine, and three sisters, Mrs. John Sheetz, Peach Bottom; Mrs. Curvin Markel, Windsor, and Mrs. Ramsay Ness, Hallam.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Thursday from the Burg Funeral home, 134 West Broadway, Red Lion, by Rev. W. M. Weaver, former pastor of Pine Grove church, now of Frederick, Md. Interment will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Sunnyburn.
