In referring to the death of Jerry Van Kleeck on Apr. 3. the Livingston Republican calls
attention to the fact that he was the son of a Civil war surgeon who died in New Orleans. "Jerry's" real name was Jeremiah, though few ever heard him called other than Jerry. He was born in Avon in 1855. and up to the time of his last sickness, which was of three weeks* duration, he had been under a doctor's care only once, a fact of which he was
very proud. Before coming to Livonia thirty-five years ago, he lived in Lakeville for eight years.
Fifty-eight years ago last month he married Miss Ella Milliman. who survives him. He leaves also one daughter. Mrs. Duane Black of Geneseo: one son. Kenneth Van Kleeck of Rochester; a sister. Mrs. Ida Graves of Prattsburg, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
