"Templeton, William Dickey -- Aged 54 years. Died at his home on South Academy St, Mooresville, July 11, 1924. Son of the late John Young Templeton and Jane Creswell Templeton; born and reared on the Templeton farm in the southern end of the county. Twice married, his first wife was Miss May Brawley who died in January 1910. To them were born 3 children, Miss Lynda Templeton, the only survivor. His second marriage was to Miss Lillian Brown of Mooresville who survives," [Mooresville Tribune]
