Gerald "Gerry" B. Renfrow, 69, Peru, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at Northwood Village, Kokomo.
He was born Nov. 15, 1941 in Arbyrd, Mo. to Jeff and Clara Bell (Taylor) Renfrow. He married Cleo "Joy" Pierce, and she survives.
Gerry was a retired brakeman from the N&S Railroad. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1968.
Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Ginger Mettler and husband Vince, Denver; a son, Gerald Renfrow Jr. and wife Tracey, Peru; three grandchildren, Andrew Mettler, Knoxville, Tenn., Emily Renfrow and Shalyn Renfrow, both of Peru; a great-grandchild, Tray Mettler, Macy; three brothers, Gene Renfrow and James "Buddy" Renfrow, both of Arbyrd, Mo., and Gary Renfrow, Paragould, Ark.; and four sisters, Peggy Short, Arbyrd, Mo., Carolyn Forbes, Paragould, Ark., Sue McNeil, Missouri, and Dana McCoy, Leachville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., with Pastor Michael Eaton officiating.
Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County, with a military committal service planned.
Friends may call from noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
