Joanne F. Allison, 77, of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2014 at York Hospital.

Born on Wednesday, July 15, 1936 in York County, she was a daughter of the late Francis Strausbaugh and Edna Stambaugh Strausbaugh Stauffer, and step-daughter of the late Raymond Stauffer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Allison, who died in 1972, and a son-in-law, Douglas A. Emlet. Joanne was a graduate of Eichelberger High School and was a retired employee of Hanover Foods.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda J. Emlet of Hanover; two grandsons, Wesley Emlet and his wife, Kimberly, of Baltimore, and Taz Emlet and his wife, Sarah, of Mount Joy; five brothers, William Strausbaugh and his wife, Phyllis, of New Oxford, Bobby Stauffer and his wife, Jenny,
Victor Reynolds and his wife, Marie, all of Littlestown, Dennis Stauffer and his wife, Brenda, of Spring Grove, and Larry Stauffer and his wife, Penny, of Hanover; two sisters, Judy Stauffer of Baltimore, and Sally McClintock and her husband, Donald, of Hanover.

There will be a gathering of family and friends held from 4 to 7:00 pm Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover.
