She was a volunteer with scouting, lions auxiliary and numerous other community organizations. Living directly across from the Galveston High School, Martha had many "adopted" children who ate meals and slept at the Ronk House.
Martha loved gardening, antiques, traveling and family. She was a life-long member of the Galveston United Methodist church where she served on many committees and outreach groups.
Martha is survived by her loving children, Roger (Kathy) Ronk of Pendleton, Dick Ronk of Galveston, and Daniel (Beth) Ronk of Rochester, special family member, Trudy Brehmer of Galveston, and sister, Margaret Fisher of Fowler. Martha loved her grandchildren, Kathy Ronk, Vicki (Robert) Schlotter, Karen (Matt) Ellis, Abby (Rich) Culbert, Bobbi Jo (Bill) Gibson and Chris Ronk; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, John; daughter, Patsie Ronk; and sister, Ruby Clymer.
A celebration of Martha's life will be held at the Galveston United Methodist Church on February 22nd. Friends and relatives can greet the family from 2-4:30 pm. A brief service will follow.
