Mr. Andries, 86, of Elmer entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Grace Home of Alexandria.
Bernard was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He retired from the Rapides Parish Policy Jury. He loved hunting, camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea Andries; his parents, Bun and Jewel Andries; one brother Rex Andries; one sister, Bernice Carden; one granddaughter, Stefanie Andries and one great granddaughter, Skylar Hawkins.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three sons and daughters-in-law; three daughters and two sons-in-law; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Services were under under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
